Fit 4 Sustainability
An environmental diagnosis to take action
Fit 4 Sustainability is a subsidy programme of the Ministry of the Economy that finances up to 80% of an environmental diagnosis, to help Luxembourg companies better understand their main environmental impacts, identify improvement measures and prioritise their investments.

Fit 4 Sustainability: mission content

  1. ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY
    Within a maximum period of six months, the expert works with your company to carry out one or more analyses tailored to your needs:
    - A carbon footprint assessment
    - An energy auditAn assessment of water consumption and quality
    - A life-cycle assessment of a product
    The exact scope of the assignment depends on the needs identified and must be agreed with the expert before the work begins.
  2. ACTION PLAN
    At the end of the assignment, your company receives a structured, costed and prioritised action plan. It includes:
    - Recommendations tailored to your business
    - Investments or operational changes to consider
    - Good practices to implement
    - Short-, medium- and long-term priorities
    - Indicators to monitor the implementation of the actions
    For example, the recommendations may cover replacing equipment, improving practices, adopting new technologies, or reducing consumption and waste.

Subsidy rate

The subsidy rate depends on the size of the company:

Small 
up to 80% of eligible fees
Medium
up to 70% of eligible fees
Large 
up to 60% of eligible fees

Who can benefit from Fit 4 Sustainability?

The program is open to businesses of any size that meet the following criteria:

  • Have your registered office in Luxembourg
  • Carrying out an economic activity as a main occupation
  • Hold a valid business permit issued by the Ministry of the Economy

How to benefit from Fit 4 Sustainability

Fit 4 Sustainability

  1. → The company selects an expert registered with Luxinnovation.

    → The company provides Luxinnovation with the required documents (The information provided is collected solely to process the grant application.)

    → Luxinnovation submits the grant application on behalf of the company.

  2. → The consultant carries out the assessment in collaboration with the company.
  3. → The consultant explains their conclusions and presents their action plan.
  4. → The company submits the report, invoices and proof of payment to the ministry to trigger payment of the grant.
